The Comfort Zone

One of the galleries that represents my artwork called me today to tell me that this little oil painting, The Comfort Zone sold yesterday. I was pleased, as I painted this about three years ago, and had never framed it. It just sat on a shelf in my studio with other paintings that I deemed "experimental and a learning experience". Three weeks ago I pulled this one out and punched up the color in some areas, and, after it dried, decided to frame it and take it to the gallery. sold! It just proves that even a "failed" painting deserves a second chance, I guess.
