The Comfort Zone

One of the galleries that represents my artwork called me today to tell me that this little oil painting, The Comfort Zone sold yesterday. I was pleased, as I painted this about three years ago, and had never framed it. It just sat on a shelf in my studio with other paintings that I deemed "experimental and a learning experience". Three weeks ago I pulled this one out and punched up the color in some areas, and, after it dried, decided to frame it and take it to the gallery. Woo-hoo....it sold! It just proves that even a "failed" painting deserves a second chance, I guess.
