Reports on the news lately about all the flooding in the Midwest make me feel extra blessed to be living in the mountains, even though our spring weather was pretty crummy this year! Here's what our valley looks like when Sand Creek floods its banks every spring due to snow run-off. It doesn't harm anything, and the owner of the hay field it seeps into appreciates the early irrigation.
