Although I live among the aspen trees, I find them quite challenging to paint. Their light trunks reflect the warm grasses near the bottom, and the sky toward the top. They often are painted much lighter than they actually are. The fall yellows and oranges are difficult to capture. But I keep painting them......figure I will get it just the way I want it one of these days!
