OK, something very different for me, but I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed painting this. So much fun to paint, and I'm very pleased with the result. It's good to stretch out of your comfort zone every once in awhile!
My good friend, James Paulsen, who lives in Nebraska, showed me this picture he took a few years ago in Egypt. There was something about it that just grabbed me, and I immediately asked him if I could have his permission to paint from his photo. He graciously granted permission, and this is the result. This woman's eyes said so much to me....I hope I was able to capture just a portion of her beauty in this painting.
